About the event
A performance celebrating migration and exploring what it is to feel at home.
Since September 2017, drama, dance and storytelling workshops have been taking place as part of the Gwneud noddfa arts development programme, coordinated by Welsh Refugee Council, in partnership with Oasis Cardiff, Space 4U, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Story Museum and Sherman Theatre; funded by Arts Council Wales, People’s Postcode Trust, Riverfront and WMC.
Led by a growing collective of artists: Angharad Evans, Aleksandra Jones, Abdul Shayek, Bevin Magama, Cath Little, Denni Dennis, Dominika Rau and Oscar, Karla and Marie Serrano, the Movement is the Message group meets to have fun and create performance celebrating migration. Since the beginning of May, the Serrano family has founded the United Cultures Dance Clan, which meets twice a week to share dance styles and create a performance showcasing some of these dances.
