About the event

Celebrate Refugee Day on Wednesday June 20th, 2018.

Join us to celebrate World Refugee Day in Swansea and witness dance and poetry created by children and young people as part of workshops and classes that have been running in Swansea over the past months, led by Eric Ngalle Charles, Rebecca Scott and Shelley Isaac-Clarke as part of Gwneud Noddfa arts programme.

Gwneud Noddfa is an arts development programme, coordinated by the Welsh Refugee Council and funded by Arts Council Wales, Fusion, Peoples Postcode Trust, Riverfront, National Waterfront Museum, Wales Millennium Centre, in partnership with community organisations in Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and Wrexham.

This event is part of Refugee Week – a nationwide programme of arts, cultural and educational activities that celebrate the contribution of refugees and people seeking sanctuary to the UK and encourages a better understanding between communities.
